Our contractors have over 26 years of experience and hold a NVQ LEVEL 2 in various trades.
After I finished school, I went on to Barnfield College to achieve an NVQ LEVEL 2 in brickwork, which was 26 years ago. I first worked for my family construction company doing extensions on people’s homes, and we were taught from the very beginning to always keep a clean and tidy site and working environment, which we still use in full force today.
We have experience in bricklaying, conversions, property extensions, hardscaping, refurbishments, and many other building works.

Dunstable housing stock
Much of Dunstable is interwar and post-war semis — ideal candidates for side and rear extensions, garage conversions and structural RSJ openings to open up ground floors. On the Downs side of town you are building on chalk subsoil, which generally drains well but demands properly dug foundations and sensible drainage design. Closer to the low ground towards Houghton Regis, clay pockets mean foundations sometimes need to go deeper. We have dug hundreds of trenches locally and price groundworks accordingly — not with a nervous contingency.
Planning & building control
We work with Central Bedfordshire Council planning and building control week in, week out. Much domestic work falls under permitted development, but properties near Dunstable Downs can sit within the Chilterns National Landscape or a conservation area, where rules are tighter. We will flag what applies to your address before you spend a penny on drawings.

I highly recommend this company. They completed Groundworks up to DPC and built a large brick and block chimney for me as part of a timber frame extension. Highly organised, reliable, good at sourcing and materials handling, very skilful brick workers. Kept a clean and tidy site throughout and delivered on budget and on time.
